I first ran for office because I believed the people of Fayetteville deserved a city government that listened to them, respected their tax dollars, and wasn’t afraid to challenge the way things had always been done.
As an alderman, I was willing to ask tough questions and stand my ground, even when it wasn’t the popular thing to do at City Hall. That same determination is what led me to run for Mayor.
Since becoming Mayor, I have worked to bring a more open and accountable approach to city government while making sure Fayetteville has a strong voice beyond our city limits. I have fought for responsible spending, better infrastructure, stronger partnerships, and economic growth that strengthens our community without losing what makes Fayetteville home.
I’m running for reelection because the work isn’t finished. We have made progress, but there is still more to do. I want to keep Fayetteville moving forward while protecting affordability, investing in the basic services our residents depend on, supporting our local businesses and neighborhoods, and making sure the people of Fayetteville have a voice in the decisions that shape our future.
Protect taxpayers by scrutinizing spending, opposing unnecessary tax increases, and making responsible use of the resources the city already has.
Put the basics first, including paving and maintaining streets, improving sidewalks and infrastructure, and making sure residents receive dependable city services.
Recruit new businesses, support existing local businesses, strengthen downtown, and pursue development that expands Fayetteville’s economy while protecting the character of the community.
Make city decisions in the open, ask tough questions about how taxpayer dollars are spent, improve communication with residents, and make it easier for citizens to understand what their city government is doing.
Build relationships with county, regional, and state leaders so Fayetteville has a seat at the table when decisions are made about funding, infrastructure, economic development, and other opportunities that affect the city.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
